Guard Our Purity

Have you ever watched a bride in her wedding dress before the ceremony? She is so careful not to soil it. She wants the moment when "He" sees her coming down the aisle to be perfect. She wants him to only see perfection.

As the bride of Christ, we should guard our purity. There is a day coming when we will see Jesus as he stands to receive us. The motivation of the bride to be spotless is not fear or shame, but love.

Faith is like night vision goggles.

Hebrews 11:1 says that "faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (NIV)

Much has been made of the power of faith in recent years especially in charismatic circles. They have begun to teach that faith is a force that we control and that we through faith have creative power ourselves. This is not what scripture teaches. Faith is not a force to be manipulated but, rather, a gift to enable us to see into the spiritual realm. Faith is like night vision goggles. It enables us to see what is "there" but outside the perception of our natural senses.
